- Yep. I will and do buy PCs in order to play the games that I love, including the Sims. Compared to other AAA games, the Sims doesn't ask for nearly as much muscle.
I always buy the best gaming computer that I can afford. If I can't get exactly what I want, I wait until I can. I believe in buying computers that are future-proof -- not just for today, but for tomorrow. That way, I don't have to upgrade as often. For me, gaming is my favored hobby, so it's worth the up front investment in order to have years of enjoyment. - Karababy52New SpectatorI did for Sims 2 after I found out the specs needed to play it. The computer wasn't used just for TS2, but I made sure it would run it before purchase and it was the only video game I played. So, in a sense, yes, I bought a computer to play TS2. I'll be getting a new computer someday, hopefully soon, to replace the toaster laptop I play TS4 on now too. :)
- Celticgamer0New NoviceI did
- Yes
I did. Now buying other games to try to justify the purchase though! - The Sims 4 literally killed my last computer. Then another computer I played the Sims 4 on, the GPU went haywire. So I made it my mission to get a computer that plays the game on ultra and won’t die on me xD
- Already have.
- If, for some reason, Sims wasn't working on my PC and I found an average priced new computer, then yes!
- Depends what I was spending on the build, but probably not. You certainly won't see all the benefits of building a state-of-the-art gaming PC if you restrict yourself to TS4 since the optimization is so bad. It's only when you play games like Wolfenstein 2: The New Collosus at a stable 120 FPS that you can appreciate a newly built rig.
- I have, but only when other games need more.
I wouldn’t pay over a grand it The Sims 5 went bat crazy with spec needs.
It would have to be the best Sims game ever by a long shot. And I don’t see that happening. - My current computer can't even run the Sims 4 anymore, and I don't even want to think of trying the Sims 3 on it. I can still run the Sims 2 just fine on medium graphics settings, but I'm definitely going to get a new computer so I can play the Sims 4 with good graphics.
