Plans for Adventure Awaits

Now that we know a little more about what is coming, what plans do you have for getaways, custom venues, etc?

Cinderellimouse , lilsimsie , and EmmaVane have given me an idea for a way to make money from finding a spouse for a Sim just starting out. You need Lovestruck and AA. Set up your Sim on a lot. When you get the offer to have 7 perfect dates, accept it. Set up a getaway on your home lot. Have 7 prospective spouses as your participants, and begin dating them. Choose player elimination as your way of eliminating them. It's possible to have at least 2 perfect dates in a 24-hour period, so do that. When elimination time comes, send home one of the first 2 Sims you dated. Date 2 the next day, and repeat. When you've finished your 7 dates, end the getaway. You'll get 25,000 simoleons for the 7 perfect dates and 10,000 for hosting a getaway, and hopefully, your Sim will have found the love of his or her life.

  • I've never built on one of the big lots in Chestnut Ridge so I am thinking about a ranch getaway but not sure how it will work if I want to keep horses and other animals there for the visitors. I think I have to dig into it first and try some of the presets in the new world and see how I can expand it into the other worlds.  Very excited for all the possibilities!

  • I am going to build a waterpark with all the water equipment and the hot springs from Snowy Escape. And I will build a new fitness resort because I don‘t like the default one. I will also build a house on the waterfront lot where Camp Gibi Gibi is at and give my sim the park ranger career and try all the new stuff.

I really struggled with this tbh, not big into camps and vacation or elimination stuff and all that...but today it hit me: This is perfect for my Asylum! Which I had almost forgotten about since I hadnt found a way to make it work the way I wanted to. But with this pack it seems like I finally can! So now I am actually excited for it!

Karamazov123 Your Sim children look really interesting!

I had several children who will be ready for camp, and I'm planning to send them to Camp Gibbi Gibbi to get a feel for the game. They're from different families, so I'll be able to play only one of them, but it will be interesting to see what the others come away with.

I also have a Sim who might run a Senior Living facility in Ravenwood.

And finally, I have an idea for a Back-to-Nature meditation retreat. Participants will sleep on the ground, forage for food, meditate, and do yoga. I'll build a roofed platform where they can sleep during rainstorms, but otherwise, totally open air.

  • I have several idea s .

    Summer Camp for kids

Romantic getaway for adults and young adults.

    a resort for families.

A playground with the new playground equipment and a water park.

For regular game play, I already have a single sim and her daughter. The daughter is getting an imaginary friend and formative moments.

  • I am really looking forward to the world and the custom venues. I think I'll make an artist retreat in Tartosa and a hotel in Sulani.

  • Oh, that's actually pretty creative. I was already planning on using the getaway system to help facilitate and arrange marriages for wealthy wizard family heirs. But this way makes it more interesting. And profitable!

For me, I've been building up my main household and their future friends to play through summer camp. My main triplets, Naomi, Ren and Ray, will be going to summer camp while their parents work overtime with the summer rush at their bar.

Naomi will get into Papercrafts and become more confident with art, leading to a future as a painter. Ray will learn about routine and dealing with his emotions, finally giving him the tools to lock in and become an astronaut. Ren will develop a love of nature that will help him bond with others, and lead him to become a florist one day.

They'll be accompanied by their cousin, Hillary. The camping experience will help her make new friends and become more confident. Collecting all the different kinds of local butterflies will be a personal project for her.

Mai will chronicle the group's adventures, which will help build her skills for when she becomes an author. She'll make friends, but learn not to just follow the crowd. She'll be looking into the mysteries of the lighthouse and the watchtower.

Makenzie is going because she's really into peacefulness and nature. But she'll actually discover a natural gift for healing, and become the go-to nurse for kids when they feel like they can't tell the counselors about their shenanigans. It won't be surprising to learn that she becomes a doctor one day, with skills in Apothecary.

Then there's Aaron, who's going to be the camp bully-turned-frienemy. He'll work out his issues through archery, leading him to a love of sports that will help toughen him up. Soon, he'll be strong enough to follow his dream of being a baker.

And finally, the sim I used for a child-only rags to riches challenge, Dallas. He's going to camp while child services sorts out a living situation for him. He's spent so much time alone, but now's the perfect chance to make lifelong friends.

My sims will basically try out the features of the pack while at camp, and maybe complete that map quest thing.
