Please be kind.
I don't post as often as I used to, but seeing a big positive influence like Simguruninja delete his Twitter/X account over threats and abuse is beyond the pale. Seriously, anyone who posted death th...
DaniRose2143Having the simgurus on Twitter in the first place is a bad idea, unless they are specifically community managers or part of PR/marketing. Like a generic, "this is the Sims 4 official twitter."
Also, I'm not on twitter, so did people actually threaten him? If it's just a bunch of random people saying, "you suck; you can't make a good EP" or something, then what did you expect? But see my earlier point about why having direct access to specific employees who work on the game is a bad idea.
I didn’t see any threats. Someone asked him about winter in the new world and he said that they chose to do forever autumn instead and talked about how good it was and that it was a design decision because death fits best in autumn or something like that.
He was a bit disregarding of them then the post got lynched by people calling the sims team lazy and that it was a rip off etc. Not saying he didn’t get threatened but I didn’t see anything personal against him. Just annoyed posts about the pack not having winter.
Interesting.
I bet the posts were deleted pretty fast.
So instead of addressing legitimate criticism, he deactivates his account, and everyone on Twitter switches to focusing on telling everyone else to calm down. Well played, SimGuruNinja.
Unfortunately, the civil criticism got lost in the wave of trash.
It's very easy to give criticism without being an entitled psycho. People in the community need to figure that out. 🙄
But Twitter/X is pretty much just a cesspool these days anyway. They should switch to somewhere else.
