Preparing for RoM ?

Really enjoyed reading peoples plans.
I can't prepare much until I know lot sizes for Glimmerbrook and orientations of the lots.
I have a lot of plans for different stories but to just see what the pack is about I want to move a bunch of my stardew folks to Glimmerbrook. The wizard and traveling merchant will both learn magic.. the wizard probably as many schools of it as possible and the traveling merchant will be an alchemist. I really hope we have love potions... Would like for that to be a specialty. I plan on moving some non magic folk there too because I think it represents an area well in that game so for those that know what I'm talking about I want Marnie the rancher and Leah the artist to live there also. I'm just really excited to settle them in where I think they will belong the most. Then I'll dig in and see what magic is like.
I also want to have many others learn magic but not necessarily move that I already have in different save games then I'm waiting to make some in CAS. I'm hoping to skip some steps if we can make a witch directly in CAS, because I already have so many that will see that part of the story a lot depending on how it's done.
I want to make a Bewitched type of character.. you know the witch that has to hide it from normal folk, but is good. I also want to make a vain, self serving type seeking immortality and power. Basically all the stories I've been presented with all my life about witches.
Eventually I'll get around to playing out AHS: Coven types of characters but that might take more manipulation in the game and maybe mods since it will be darker.

That house is gorgeous!

You could say I've been preparing for magic since the day I started playing TS4. I currently have eleven sims in my game (including my simself) that I want to turn into witches once I get the pack, eight of which were created specifically with that plan in mind, years before Realm of Magic was even announced.

Now that it has been announced and I know a bit about what's coming, I've started redecorating the house of my simself to make room for the new magical items. I'm a little worried about the cauldron being too big to fit in, so if anyone happens to know its dimensions (I assume 3x3 based on the trailer, but it's hard to tell), I'd like to know too.

Only two more weeks! :)

I want to see if I can make a version of the Sanderson Sisters! :D

I've got my fairies ready to go. Though a few of them are mermaids and vampires, so I'm worried I might have to change them back to regular Sims in order for them to be able to learn magic. So I guess in that case, my prep will be running through all the vampire aspirations as quickly as possible and rack up those satisfaction points. ^_^

I've got a few ghosts I'd love to learn magic. I really, really hope they can just learn it and I don't have to feed them ambrosia, teach them magic, then leave them alone with broken electronics again. >.<

She lives with her family in Brindleton Bay but will be moving to Glimmerbrook where she can concentrate on mastering spellcasting.

I been working on some lots and made a new sim recently. They won't be complete until Realm of Magic is released. The lot I might put up in my gallery; but the sim I won't unless I make a non-cc version.

I hope we get some magic-related activities for Season holidays, because I want my witches to have their own holidays. So far, I have a few in mind: Walpurgisnacht (for certain sims to go out and fight witches), Worship Day (where they pay homage to the Realm's founders), Elfdependence Day (To celebrate the day elves were officially welcomed into the Realm), Spell's Eve (when witches share spells with each other), Realmhood Duels (Neighborhood Brawl, but for magic duels.)

Very creative. I might use seasons to a Magic Olympics... One out of the four weeks of, I'm thinking, Summer maybe alternate between Summer and Winter or both. We could do a whole week of tournaments. Just might Start building a Coliseum, I built a Soccer Court, Could put that to good use.

I really hope Groups can Dual against Groups... Probably just going to have to end up bringing the whole group and have them fight 1v1. I would have loved to see if sims can gang up on each other, or have a free-for-all, or watch each other's back. and how player influence can work in a dual. Again I'm hopeful because of how snowball fights work. You can snowball fight in groups, so I think Magic fights in groups could be a potential thing.

I don't know what else, A part of me wants to try old school Pagan, and celebrate the seasons changing. and have festivals where certain spell casting powers will be able to reach their peak and can display their power.
