Yeah. How do I get my Sim a day off from uni? When one makes a holiday in the calendar, even a “day off work/school” holiday, they go to university classes. Cheers.

You know what it could be story-wise, is if you're a student from a minority religion or culture, or if you're attending school internationally where the holidays are different.
It does have that feeling. "It feels like it's this holiday to me, my family misses me today, but no one here celebrates my holiday, so I have to power through until it becomes their holiday and then we can all go on break"
