A short time ago, I made an impulsive decision. I bought Vampires AND Realm of Magic. However, I'm already bored of Vampires, and I haven't even touched RoM.In retrospect, I should've just been patient. Vampires is on sale now (I got it right before the sale started.) and I would've spent less money if I had just waited a few days, and I'd probably still be enjoying it rather than already being bored of it.As for RoM, it wasn't a top priority of mine to get it, so I could've waited until DU's release in November and built a bundle with the two packs and a stuff pack I don't have.I'm normally very frugal and I usually hate impulsive decisions, so idk what got into me, and now I feel scammed, even though it's my own fault, not EA's. I just feel pathetic knowing that there's no way for me to get that money back.

I think we’ve all felt buyer’s remorse after purchasing a game or DLC that we end up thinking wasn’t “worth it”. Especially with the high price of games these days. It goes with the territory, unfortunately.I don’t think it’s possible to have a perfect decision-making track record in this regard.I do wish there were more options for game demos or trials to help us decide before making such purchases.

I just buy all the packs with no regrets. :D

It's ok buyers remorse happens. Also pretty sure there will be better sales with Black Friday and Cyber Monday too. I do encourage Simmers to always wait for sales because Sims is far from being frugal game. I tend to have romances between multiple life states to make the gameplay more interesting. You might like spellcasters more than the vampires, but I don't know. Up to you to decide. Vampire pack is still fun to use the build mode objects on. You might be able to refresh your interest using the debug cheat too to see hidden objects with the Vampire pack.

I have a collect it all mentality, so in simply owning them all I am happy. That doesn't always work in my favor as fair as sometimes getting junk, but I have them all!

I really miss the game demos of the old days! I was able to spare myself a lot of grief and regrets by getting and trying them. While some were one and done or had a time limit, others were essentially mini-games that often satisfied the itch. Those were a grea way to separate the wheat from the chaff. At least we have various game reviewers and such to provide info, so we're not totally adrift, but nothing beats that hands on trial. To the OP's point, there are some packs am sorry I got.

I don't have vampires because I don't want them, and I don't have ROM because I only want it for build and buy so it's not worth full price to me that I'll eventually get it on sale probably.

It's been a long time since I've bought a pack and regretted it because most of them I love ... but if I could go back in time I would probably skip out on bowling night, spa day, and possibly City Life but I might have still got citylife in a bundle or on sale

Lol, simguru even commented on the first thread you make, doubt they’ll make an appearance here. Buyer beware, OP. Both packs have been out a while, Vampires especially long, should’ve done research.

While research and reviews can be helpful, they don’t guarantee one way or the other how I will respond to a game. I have loved games with mediocre reviews and hated games with great scores.

Simply invoking “let the buyer beware” is a dangerously convenient way of absolving the gaming industry of all its anti-consumer sins. Unlike most other products, games continue to be uniquely difficult to return for refunds. Customer satisfaction is rarely a consideration as a result.
