Reset sim age?

I can't check in game but I'm sure there is a Potion of Youth reward trait under the aspirations section of your sim (the little present symbol). I think its about 1500 points and resets your sim's (the drinker of the potion's) current age. I don't think it resets any traits, looks, achievements etc. just winds the clock back to start the current the age again, but don't take my word on that.

Oh, I also don't mod or use MCCC or anything so I don't know if that will affect the potion either.

Hmmm, are they in a world? You could enter their household, cheat aspiration points and then make them drink it and return to your current household.

Well hes in the goth family I am sure they wouldn't be that hard to find...they were always rich in previous games....my daughter met him at the dog park in brindleton bay...

I mean I've got a lot invested in the family time wise (4 toddlers at once for like 22 days was insane) and I do not want to mistakenly lose something because I do something silly

I always play my legacy family but I do drop in to other families from time to time and only for a short time to tweek the odd thing and it doesnt affect my game too much. BUT remember, that's just how I play so my word isn't the gospel truth.
You won't need to be in the Goth house long. Play the house, cheat the points, buy it, drink and leave in under a sim hour haha.
If you are worried, save your game before you change anything. Do what you need to at the Goth house, try it but don't save anything until you are sure you are happy i.e, just go to manage world rather than save and go to manage world etc. If you hate it, exit without saving and return when you reload the game etc, it will be as before you changed anything. That make sense? Lol

I rarely ever use aspiration rewards as most of them are either the need rewards which distracts from the realism of living or useless potions I dont care to use....normally I want my sims to grow old and die so younger generations can take over, keeps the game fresh for me....I probably never would have thought of this for that reason alone

I don't tend to use many but some earned traits are handy though merely in the sense of gameplay.

And to right the wrongs in a child's age sometimes so they can find true nerdy love one day ;)

I apologize if this has already been mentioned. One easy way to take control of a sim temporarily and not change households would be to go into edit town and merge Alexander in with your sim's household, then play the household, and have him drink the potion. After he has drunk the potion, go back into Edit Town, and merge him back into his former home. Now if for some reason he lives by himself, what I do is before I originally merge him with the other sim is to find another household that has several sims in the household, and merge one of them in with him. This will keep the name and family funds intact. Then after you are completed with what you need to do, then merge him back to his old household, and after that merge the other sim back to where they came from.
