- One main family. Around 20 households of extended family that my main family often interacts with.
- cyncie3 years agoSeasoned AceI play my whole world, but I switch sims whenever I want. I don’t have a schedule and I don’t try to get to all of them. I have aging off and Neighborhood Stories off for main households, so no one is going anywhere without me. My choice of what household to play is just based on what I feel like doing today. I might be story telling, or building out my world, or just hanging out with a household to see what we can get into. All depends on what makes my plumbob green.
- If no UNI students i go 1-3 simday rotations , so not that much. not ready save yet, but when it is , 1-2 households per world.
- I checked my screenshots and found that the first round of my smaller rotational save, that started with five households, took me 10 irl days. After that first round I switched households depending on what happened in my game and who needed to react to it, effectively abolishing the concept of rounds.
But then again I didn't touch this save in a long time, so technically the current round has already lasted seven months. - 83bienchen3 years agoSeasoned AceI currently have 13 played households.
- atreya333 years agoLegendI have a main family which I play most of the time. I occasionally switch to other households when I feel like it but it depends on the story I play, not a set timing. I tried to play rotational but I don't enjoy having to switch at a certain time in the sim week.

This is basically how I play. I have 109 played households. Some are severely neglected, but I'd still Neighborhood Stories not have its way with them. - Brd7093 years agoSeasoned AceI'd say 1-3 months for me. If there's a birthday coming up for toddlers, children or teens, i usually play up until they age up and switch households then.
- Gamer_Cat243 years agoNew TravelerI put 0-3 months, but I also do my own thing with rotational play
I have multiple save files on my PS4, and some have tons of families. I play rotationally, but some days I chose a random household to play, and if I start to get bored with that one, I switch to another family. In one day I can switch between a few families.
However, on my PC, I have one main family, and plan to focus on them, and any expanded family they may have. - I almost chose 'do my own thing', but really either option fits. I have 4 main households I focus on and another 8 to 10 that I rotate through on occasion. My rotation save is also a story I share on here, so the story guides me on when to move and where. Most of my sessions cover two or three sim days, and I may stay with one household the whole time or I may visit 3 or 4.
