Everything looks very similar.
I see exercise bikes and dumbbells from lovestruck, I see swimming and kayaks from Island Living, I see archery from Outdoor Retreat.
Is this what future packs will be now? Features that we were missing from older packs?

Features missing from older packs, being sold in remakes of older packs.
The Spa Day refresh gave me so much hope for the game. And now we're here.

Yeah pretty much.
The dumbbells are probably the biggest reason why I feel this because they were featured in the promo material for lovestruck but they were not usable in that pack.

I honestly think this is a case for multiple packs, I bet there are "shelved for later" items if they don't finish in time, or think they can just use in another pack later.

To be fair to them they never said they were going to do refreshes though.I imagine refreshes still cost money and spa day refresh probably did not bring up sales.

I know they didn't say they'd do them again. But I don't think redoing older concepts and charging us again is the best way to go about things. This and other packs already feel like redoes of older concepts. And it stinks, especially because we know they CAN revitalize older packs without charging us for it. It might not be as profitable for them, but it was very player-friendly and didn't leave us stuck with multiple systems for essentially the same thing.
I guess it's harder with The Sims 4, since so many elements came underdeveloped, so refreshes are a necessity for so many things.

I wonder if they will make the Lovestruck dumbbells usable in a patch like they did with the show racks when they introduced no shoes...
