Some people are never satisfied... People have been complaining about Bonehilda not being present. Then she's present and they complain that she's probably identical to the Butler and Maid.
Exactly, under that tweet people were complaining that they're "recycling the butler/maid system and the skeleton mesh from Jungle Adventure"... I don't even understand what these people want them to do, she is a literal skeleton maid. She has a skeletal frame and she acts as a butler. That is the entire concept of Bonehilda.
I can sort of get being disappointed that she's wearing the maid outfit that's already in game (although it doesn't really matter imo), but complaining that a skeleton maid does maid activities like she's always done and has the games skeleton skin is just ridiculous.
Then they overglorfy Sims 3 even when they did the same with their version of bonehilda. Both butlers and Bonehilda function the same with only few key diffreneces and that is the way it is going to be in TS4 too. Yet they overglorify it and say how garbage the game is.
Not to mention youtube. Where the heck do I even begin? Remember those days when in gaming people upload videos because they enjoy it, or want to help others trhrough walkthroughs?
Well Screw it, The Sims Youtube community feels like a money printing community for people who has a channel. Now to be clear I am not saying all of them since there are a lot of small youtubers who are excellent and love creating videos while playing the game. I'm glad thst they exist but the mainstream ones.... the ne when you search The Sims 4 and the top results.....
It is filled with Channels who appears to be news sites yet focuses on setting fires on the yt community from very small reasons, rants sayong how NOBODY wants somethings as if they are the only one the franchise is catering to, whle encouraging their followers on the agenda thet devs dont listen to them while in fact the devs are catering to many playstyles, Exagerrating small news or criticisms into big news and contreversy causing a huge snowball to be formed, Machinima videos thst are not there to tell a story but to clickbait viewers by using those awful conditions romantcizing them and then making a profit....
It's just toxic and mentally draining which is why I only go to the forums anymore. In facebook atleast i join a group called The Sims Elite and it is fantastic there. It's moderated just like the forums and the discussions are civil. If you post a picture there about something you discovered people will be happy thst you discovered it unlike in reddit where people complain how many times a particular discovery should be posted and so on.
Youtube, Twitter , Unmoderated Facebook, amd etc. are just the worse.When I was in High School I watch Sims videos whenever I feel down because I do not have a PC on my own then a am just borrowing. But now I can't stand the YT community.
Lastly it is apparent that many simtubers only posts negstivity about The Sims 4 because as one person had said n the tweets, positive videos do not earn huge amount of viewers = Money. And humans have a tendency to negstivity bias. So there we have it.
Being negative might be easier than being positive. however I want to live my life in the fullest. There is no way I would be ever back on those social medias (especially yt) just to have myself mentally drained. Hate does not equal to constructive criticam but since this is what they are doing on their Platforms, ther eis no way I will be back there..
That is why I love the forums. We may not meet each other but the moderations the rules and etc. help us from making our sims arguments to being personal and even make friends when playing the game! Like Gallery Buddies!!
I wish EA would bring back or integrade a Story Sharing in the website or gallery just like the old days. More ways to participate in community and more ways to share game screenshots or stories in a not toxicmanner.... I miss those ??
