- ChampandGirlieNew SpectatorI actually like leftovers not expiring. I thought it was a part of EL, basically minimizing food waste. Most of my sims are regularly directed to get leftover in the fridge. I do a lot of assigning my sims actions by queuing them up rather than just watching the AI.
The only time I've had a sim repeatedly cooking was a guest that was staying over, but I'd like this to be fixed for others. Restaurants seem like they need a lot of attention for bug fixes. I've seen waiters piling up dirty plates and then serving the food on top. I get that some restaurants are bad but it seemed buggy. - GypsyRozLynSeasoned NewcomerJust had a kava party - every single guest kept making food on the grill and stove and counters until my sims house was covered in food or unprepared food. I thought guests were not supposed to be able to cook at your sims house - only grab quick meals - this is ridiculous.
- NateWhiplashSeasoned HotshotLeftovers work great in my game. I'm a lazy Simmer, and I have my Sims cook something on the grill, and then eat the leftovers every day until they are gone. Food also spoils--they do have to clean out the spoiled food
- Just a heads up, if Sims complete the Master Chef aspiration the food they cook will not spoil.
Currently grabbing leftovers from the fridge and leftover decay both work correctly in my game. I must note that I do have some of Little Ms Sam's cooking mods; currently I am using her More Servings Options mod and the No Auto Food Grab After Cooking mod. - Mine eat leftovers, and they still spoil. I find that if I have a Sim cook instead of them autonomously cooking they will cook, then sometimes leave the food on the counter and grab leftovers. It doesn't happen if they autonomously cook.
- One more note on this bug. When I play a family actively I somehow manage to catch them and prevent cooking most of the time so it's not that bothersome... But today I've found another thing which is much more disturbing for me since I'm playing rotationally. Currently I'm playing with a sim who was separated from her family household to go to Uni. So she's my active household now and her family is inactive in Willlow Creek. Her Dad called and invited her to visit. I've accepted and what I've found is a family of 4 sims literally starving and cooking non stop. All their kitchen was filled with dishes, their grill at the backyard was all surrounded by dishes... And all they have their hunger motive drained...
But my main point is - it was inactive family! I do not think they suppose to cook at all not to mention non-stop in the background when I play another family in another hood. But it looks like they did! So what I'm thinking now - could this bug also be a part of simulation lag? Also now I'm pretty scared to visit anyone in order not to provoke them starving and cooking while I can't control them. - LolzarellaRising ScoutMy sims won't eat leftovers unless I make them. The food takes a while to spoil, I actually like that part of the bug. One bonus perk to this bug is that the entire household levels their cooking skills quickly with this new obsession. They're still getting drinks too often as well.
- whubble1817New ScoutMine have never eaten left-overs autonomously. I didn't even know that was a thing. Foods will not spoil anymore if your sims cooking skill is maxed. This is not a bug.
- kmonica1New SpectatorI have this bug too - Sims no longer grab leftovers autonomously. Very serious bug.
- Erm, sims dont eat leftovers unless you explicit tell em to do so. It has been that way since, i dunno , the day i started playing years ago.
