That kind of thing is already part of the game and it has an option to toggle it off in options (Game Options->Other->Enable Dynamic Lights), @Atreya33, so you'll be fine.
Oh, I had no idea there was a toggle for it in the options. Thanks for pointing it out. I will switch it off to see if it affects performance. Thank you.
