Space heaters
Does anyone know if the space heaters heat up a whole floor, or just one room?

@Galacticgal, you'd need a lot of fireplaces to completely replace the thermostats...something to keep in mind. So you'd want to use one in every room, or use CC versions of the Snowy Escape space heaters (in a suitable lower-tech style) to supplement the fireplaces.
