Set the night club to teen neighborhood, brought my teen sim and her adult sister. Figured the teen would dance, make friends, and the game would restrict her from having a drink, while her sister builds her skills. Unfortunately, I leave sims to themselves, the teen had that drink that came with Windenburg, which is beer.Figured this wasn't intended. Somebody else getting this bug?

I thought teens could always drink bar drinks, but kids can’t. I always thought is was because in some countries teens can drink bar drinks in real life.

Teens can drink bar drinks because they're not alcoholic drinks, it's not a bug.

It's not a bug, the drinks in the sims4 are apparently non-alcoholic, so teens can drink them.

I thought teens could always drink bar drinks, but kids can’t. I always thought is was because in some countries teens can drink bar drinks in real life.

Teens can drink bar drinks because they're not alcoholic drinks, it's not a bug.

Yeah you would think so, the drinking age in the US (in most states) is around 21 right? In my country it's 18 (they have to show ID) to be allowed to drink and they have to be 20 to be allowed to buy alcohol for themselves.

Even here in the US, 18 year olds can drink at home with parental supervision in some states (and I'm willing to bet that many parents let their adult children under 21 consume a glass of wine on occasion in every state). There are even a handful of states that let 18 year olds drink in bars.

That said, the drinks in Sims 4 are indeed all non-alcoholic except for kava.

Juice is juice, after all. So what if it's a tad fermented … But, yeah, I think that startled me, too, the first time it happened in my game. But, it is referred to as juice.

Kava is an anxiolytic, people drink that where I've lived. To my knowledge it is non alcoholic, put if I am wrong. I wonder why not kava.

I think because it can make sims dazed, which mimics the effects of drugs, so I suppose due to the game rating that’s why teens can’t partake. I don’t think they can use the bubble blower either for the same reason. But I don’t totally remember because I haven’t used it in awhile.
