I know in another thread weeks ago, now, there was a lively discussion on just what color a Best Song Accolade ought to be. My Sim was finally winning for his music, thanks to some very helpful hints ...

I have to cheat that sometimes, too. The game will recognize when a Sim's skill is where they need it to be, or above, but when a Sim has written close to fifteen songs they aren't noticed when they get to that set of aspiration goals. Face/palm. So, I give it to him. What? It's not like he hasn't already fulfilled it in spades. LOL
I use a mod to stop the cooldown on licensing. It helps. Before that Erik was never recognized for his music, except for the one time I placed him in the Entertainment field. He was then approached by his boss to submit some of his music. He won, but wasn't invited to the actual Awards Show. Huge let-down. Happily, for the sake of the story, I had some pictures of him winning an accolade for acting I had never shared. Now, he's winning for his music outright. So much fun. Although some have said lyrics can win, from my experience it's only the written song that wins. We'll see if I can break through that barrier at some point. Already, I have mentions music and lyrics by Erik Cantrell. ;) He is a singer, after all. Kinda hard to sing a melody without words. I wish we could have the singer career from Sims3, with the award show we have in Sims4. So, it's my story and I'm sticking with it. LOL
