They had two EP teams, not three. Sims 4, instead, has one EP team and one GP team. I've seen no actual evidence presented that there's not a huge studio. I've not been able to find credits for EPs (Mobygames hasn't been listing them), but here's the Sims 4 base game credits: http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/sims-4/credits. The base game was not developed in the Emeryville studio that closed a couple of years ago.
