I'm so happy this thread got revived! My current Sim lives in Sulani and I had no idea that these events were happening. 

But yes, it does need an update.

I will add there is a mod by I think littlemssam that notifies you of the sulani events but the other stuff besides the awards(I use a mod for that lol) there's nothing I know and I didn't know about the karaoke contest or the talent contest lol.
