I took a look at the items in the Toddler Stuff Pack and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. I know you shouldn't measure a pack by how many items you get but this is just inexcusable. 4 painted stumps, a jungle gym that is then divided into 3 separate items, and what looks to be a single pole that should have been attached to the hanging lights... I'm also upset that the items like the picnic table, hanging lights, ball pit (the balls look horrid and the actual design is just a big rectangle), replica stumps and square rugs just seem lazy. There's nothing really new or exciting about them.I figured I'd come here to see what others thought of this pack.Please refrain from using the "no one is forcing you to buy the games" argument. It's extremely lazy. You can just tell by the ball pit. I also watched review videos and the available swatches looked pretty boring to me, I was hoping for maybe more pastel colors. The only item i actually liked was the grill. CAS is ok ... i guess, even though i hated these "abstract" outfits they went for. Some swatches just look like a hot mess to me. I mean if you can't get the star pattern right... just use another pattern.

but the pole is used for the lights? the other hanging lights already came with both poles attached. the toddler ones allow for less inhibited placement so I don't really understand the issue with those. I think the pack is fairly decent and allows for more varied parks that are also now more friendly to toddlers, children, and families in general. also all the floral jumpers are super cute.

I'm not a family player so I was indifferent about this pack from the announcement but even I am shocked at how much i'm really not into it. That ball pit in particular isn't at the quality level we expect in TS4.First SP I haven't bought.

I agree. I do like the pack in general, but it looks like they put little time into texturing things, like everyone said the ball pit is horrible. And everything is too big. I suppose I shouldn't expect the treehouse thing to be smaller than the regular dollhouses (which are insanely big), but it sucks that they take up so much room. It would have been nice to have smaller things that could realistically fit in a backyard.

I think the pack is fine except for that ball pit, the balls are the only "lazily" textured thing in the pack, everything else seems pretty much Sims 4 standard. Ball pit aside, I'm pretty sure this is the biggest stuff pack gameplay wise, three new gameplay objects and a new social event, also almost doubling the toddler CAS items is really great. I do wish they added more build/buy mode objects but oh well.

I have to agree with your disappointment but for slightly different reasons.
I thought Toddler Stuff would be a day one purchase for me but I hate to say I'm on the fence now.
I read toddler stuff to mean stuff for toddlers. Not a whole bunch of items that are for picnics in a park (A park that toddlers don't even spawn in).

Chairs (x2. All these Sims ever do is sit down. No more chairs!), those stump things (What are they? Playground bollards?), gigantic rugs, grill, SPN, picnic table, more balloon nonsense, cooler, fence/gate, shade...What does any of this stuff really have to do with toddlers? Nothing!
They got this ridiculous playdate concept in their heads and we end up with a Toddler Park Picnic & Party Pack.

I will say that at least the CAS is toddler and other than the limited boys hair (BTW, I don't like either of them) at least girls have some better options.
And despite the ball pit being a visual embarrassment, I have to give credit for the jungle gym.

The CAS is fantastic and some of the items are great, but I agree the logs are to much and the rugs far to big i would of preferred them separate. Quality control though seemed to gone amis with the ball pit and error on some swatches.

I took my toddler to the park after I placed the jungle gym. She had a lot of fun on the jungle gym and the slide and there were a few children in the park that enjoyed the treehouse. The hair is fun. I love the curly boys hair (I used it on the girl. Super cute. The clothes are very fun. I especially like the rompers. The slides are fun and they look cute going down them. I like the treehouse. I haven't played with the logs yet. I was amused by the ball pit idea. All in all, I think it was good for the ten bucks. I'm having a bit of an issue with Dogs and Cats being 40 even though it's got a new career and world. Think I'll wait and see if that one gets a discount.
