- @3KNPen thank you for that. It helps to know the calorie count. Must have been the monte cristo sandwiches lol
- Well, it is an American game.

I have this habit of pulling them into CAS to 'edit' their chubby little bodies. LOL In pre-toddler days, my babies would end up being chubby children. My bad. All I ever did was see to their needs … you know, like feed them, instead of waiting to get 'baby is starving and if you don't feed him soon, he'll be taken away' warning. :open_mouth: "GalacticGal;15511741" wrote:

I've heard that you can avoid that a bit by trying out all the other options first. If the baby still cries, THEN you can feed it. And it seems to work for me.- It's good to get babies on a routine I always feed them right away and then feed them again when they need to be changed and then follow that pattern their whole infancy and it has generally has worked out very well. It's also helps to not feed them right before they age up wait a few hours after a feeding and then age them up.
- Some contributing factors to a kid growing up too chubby that I've found are:
1. Defaulting to feeding whenever the Baby cries but isn't in need of a diaper change. Babies also have hidden fun/social needs that have to be cared for, and sometimes all the kid needs is a few cuddles, bounces, coos, and silly faces to be soothed. If they don't need a diaper change and socials don't calm the kid, then feed them.
2. Not letting them run around enough as Toddlers. It's tempting to let your caretakers hover over the kid and carry them around all the time when they're that young, especially if you have a larger house or a multi-story house, but letting them run around and go places on their own when it's not imperative to feed them or get them to bed or the potty right away is actually good for their little waistlines. Get them to Lv. 2 Movement and Potty as soon as possible (like, the first day of Toddlerhood) so they can go up and down the stairs and use the potty on their own, have them run around and wander around the house, send them to play in the toilet of the downstairs half-bath, have them dance to the stereo music...all of that. Let them be active as possible as Toddlers and they won't be as chubby as Children...even if they occasionally over-eat. - Magdaleena96Seasoned NewcomerWhoops, yeah, all of the kids of my current generation past the firstborn have gotten quite chubby.
Probably because I haven't directed them all as much as I did with the first one; they all were mostly on full autonomy because large households are tricky to manage. They didn't really use the playgrounds and that stuff at all, unlike the oldest ones.
I don't actually mind the chubbiness, but it's nice to know that the way I play has an impact on how they end up looking. I may be keeping this in mind for the next generation. - The majority of my babies seem to be aging up into chubby toddlers and then, in turn, chubby kids. I don't really mind, but it happens the majority of the time lately.
- I honestly don't care if my Sims age up to be fat teens, when they are kids they are not meant to be physically attractive/buff, and youth protects them from the health effects of obesity.
side note - i wonder if they could make low fitness/high fatness have real consequences for your sim, once they cease to be a young adult - this would reflect reality better. Unrefreshing sleep moodlet (sleep apnea), dangerously tired after doing one flight of stairs, not being able to run, more illness, and of course sudden, early death (cardiovascular disease).
Back to the subject at hand, my Sims are usually at their fattest when they age up to Teen, having spent their childhood studying hard / working on skills/aspirations. Once they become adults, they slim down in my households, because a pair of treadmills tends to replace the dining table and sofa. Sims can watch tv while working out and chat to one another, the study desks are also close by and there's a stereo and fireplace too (imagine the sweat lol).
I've even done living rooms with swim lanes in the middle. Kind of helps with the cooking disasters too. - Hello
