This pack is similar to Get Together by the fact that there’s a huge system. Exept this time they added a whole new active career to it.
I wouldn't compare this to Get Together. In Get Together, the club feature was pretty groundbreaking, none of the other games had ever done anything like that before. It was new and refreshing, which is why youtubers like LGR praised it. Fame and reputation, on the other hand, have been in all 3 past games. Sims 1 had fame, Sims 2 had reputation, and Sims 3 had fame and reputation. So, this isn't going to be some new, never-before-seen feature. It's just a retread of a feature from previous Sims games. They may do it better than previous games, but I'm not sure it deserves a $40 price tag and cutting out other careers.
I think it's more about how the entire system integrates content from other packs and the base game. The club system in GT is versatile enough to integrate features from other packs as club activities. The fame systems in the previous three games are pretty self-contained to their respective packs (e.g. Sims in the fashion career weren't affected at all by Superstar), except maybe for Sims 3. It may not be completely groundbreaking like the club system, but if we assume the fame system ties into careers and endeavors outside of GF, it might be just as encompassing.
Of course, it would be best to wait for more information on this.
