I think for kitchens I most often use tiles on walls that have counters and do rest of the room in different wallpaper entirely

also really like to include windows if I have the opportunity :) 10 points if I get big one above sink without it looking terrible from exterior 😂

With some kitchens I like to use tiles all over, with some I use the tiled walls just where the counters are. It really all depends on my mood and the kitchen design. I have found that if you don't have perfectly matching wallpapers, you can hide it best by meeting them in corner areas. 

For me it varies. All of my kitchens are open to the living/family room so I also have to consider what is on the walls in adjoining rooms.

Sometimes I'll use full tiles and sometimes half tiles. 

Sometimes paint if the adjoining room has a patterned wall.

I really like that there's a matching rug for the first kitchen, the colors right on point

Nice combinations! I try to use tile walls behind the counters but I can't make it work, the entire kitchen is one wallpaper. I really wish some of the half tile walls were a bit more higher. Sometimes they sit right at the height of the counter and aren't as visible

Simmingal​ Thanks, I actually just wanted a quick neutral kitchen to give some scale to the wall papers. But I think I will work the last one, the more colorful one into a room for the gallery.

Matching up a window with the sink can be tricky. If the sink has to go between two cupboard to be central in front of the window, it can be really annoying.

I already figured out that corners can be a useful place to change wallpapers. It is a nice trick.

simgirl1010​ Thanks for the nice examples. I rarely use tiles that go up all to the ceiling because I feel it looks weird above the cabinets but your example of a tile kitchen looks nice. It has a bit of a retro vibe. I like to finally see an example where the tiles rug makes sense. I haven't found a place to use it yet.

The heights of the wall papers do vary. Some are just counter height and don't make any sense in a kitchen. For the rest of the wall papers some are clearly meant for older counter sets that have an upright border against the wall, while others perfectly match the newer seamless counters.

I tend to try to get the kitchens all the way to the corners and then change wall paper there. Sometimes I use a wall a tile out and put the refrigerator there. Doors also work as they take up most of the wall, or really tall windows with curtains that go from ceiling to floor. If the room has low ceiling height I just use fully tiled walls but put the cabinets all the way up so you won't see it.
