I had to make my Gentleman's Club a retail establishment. The Dancers were on the poles the mixologist's were there and the music was playing, then a lot of Sims started to come in...then.. 7 year old's started coming in because it was a retail (store) I was not only horrified as the little kids walked up to the stage and started cheering on my Strippers I was infuriated lol. So no you can't make a Bar/Nightclub a retail store because it's routine behavior for Sims to bring their children and the kid's come in alone as well.
