According to the newest blog post by The Sims, in this months update we are getting a Layering System in CAS!
This is awesome news and I'm looking forward to seeing how it works. What is everyone else's thoughts on this?

If we take Naruto example, in theory fishnet / mesh could be a Base Layer option too (even lace)

Yeah, originally I thought by layers they meant actual layering of accessories, jackets, etc. So I am disappointed, but hopeful—since they opened the can of worms of layering—at the very least accessories will be added to a layering system.
It's not a bad start, but considering that it's simply a skin tight layer (arguably a skin replacement layer) and doesn't apply to jackets, coats, sweaters, accessories, it's not that exciting to me. Don't get me wrong, I like it and think it's a good thing (inevitable bugs aside - never have I been more relieved I don't use CC) but it's not something I can get hyped about.
I'm looking forward to this one!
I wonder what adding layering will break. You know something will break because it always does when a feature like this is added.
Unpopular opinion: I'm fearing what bugs may bring to the game, like when they changed the tattoo system or when the marketplace was up. I'm gonna wait A LOT to install this update because I have a bad feeling about it.
It will definitely help a lot with some outfits, and not just cropped tops. Love the turtle neck option for cold weather outfits and the sleeveless top that goes underneath shirts for male sims. I can finally use the unbuttoned Hawaiian shirts for more than just beach outfits.
Not gonna lie even this little change already gave me and my crumplebottom existence like 80% more outfits and tops to use 😎
Already recalling lots of sleeveless /cropped outfits and tops that I desperately wanted more coverage for 🧛♂️
I wish this didn't all seem "Greek" to me. I'm so not into the technical aspects of anything, really. I do hope others will do the heavy lifting and all I have to do is add the coat or what have you to my sim.
