Wedding cake, Color Clothing options keep disappearing in wedding event planning

So I'm not sure if this is a part of the bugs/glitches if heard a lot about this new pack but. I've been doing some cake shopping and I purchase a cake set it as my wedding cake, check back tomorrow to see if theres anything new. I've gone through around 3 cakes now. But whenever I select it it never shows up in the wedding event. I keep having to reselect the cake as well as the colors and clothing preferences. Is that part of the glitch too or am i doing something wrong?

    other things went downhill the more i progressed with the wedding. i wrote a short review but tldr: i wish everyone luck having a beautifully organized wedding cause mine is currently a cluster truck... nothing is working properly lol.

    The whole pack is broke; it was broke during early access too.

    Apparently cakes do work, but not very intuitively. There is discussion in this thread how to make them work.

    Some tables didn’t take the cake for me when I played. It worked on the head table for me and then I could move it. Maybe try a new table? I think there should be at least one table side with no chairs where the Sims can stand and cut the cake
