- I usually play on medium but I would love if we could customise it like in the past. We should be able to set how many days each life stage we will last in our games.
- paigeisin5New SpectatorAging off in all my saved games. I play eight Sims per save with more Sims added as they marry and have babies. Having aging off gives me time to develop relationships that happen among the different families while making sure I don't have grandparents falling through the cracks and missing out on seeing their grandkids grow up. And not knowing when they pass away is just wrong. The fact our Sims treat close family members as if they don't exist irks me to no end. Why did EA make Sims appear to have emotions yet Sims are so unemotional when a loved one passes away? I have had little luck in finding a plausible explanation for that snafu.
- Depends on which save I play. I have multiple saves with different age settings.
My Main Family has long, so I can accomplish more and connect with them.
Another is a short setting with a story of a vampire dad that only has human offspring and they all die before him. Quite sad for him actually  - In most cases, I play with aging off. I've recently started my first legacy ever with Not So Berry challenge so I play on nomal. I enjoy playing, but the timing feels rushed, so I doubt I'll be playing with that setting on any other save.
I also realised that it's rather odd that Young Adults and Adults have the same length. In my opinion the Adults' span should be a bit longer. - I find it difficult to decide between medium and long. I play rotationally, so first I go through all the households with long and then with medium settings. That way I don't get bored, but I still have time to do things with my sims before they are up.
- I have almost always played with a long lifespan. I like to max out as many skills and careers as I can with my Sims. Recently, I have been trying normal to see how much I can get done in the shorter time-span because I was getting bored with the family I've been playing. I do find myself using the Potion of Youth occasionally because I'm feeling rushed.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceLong. I used to play Epic in Sims3 and I would adjust the sliders for each age group infant-teen and from YA to Elder it was slammed all the way over to maximize my Sims' lives. Now, not having this option, I play Long and age each Sim up when I see fit.
- I play with aging off. I decide when my sims age up, not the game.
- HermitgirlNew SpectatorI play with aging off... and just age them up when I feel it's time. I usually only age up babies through teens though. Then they linger or start their own story.
Now and then I try to play a player made challenge that requires aging to be on.. but I usually give up on them, or I convert them to a self challenge. - OldeSimsFanNew TravelerAging OFF! I've seen too much death in RL to want it in a game I play to relax.
