Whomever on the sims team thought to make each neighborhood have a different climate was brilliant.
What I've noticed:
Willow Creek/Newcrest: Well rounded weather season, where you experience everything pretty equally.
Oasis Springs/Strangerville*: Sunsnow (which is my favorite!), true snow I haven't seen yet, lots of heatwaves and not much rain. Noticeably warmer during the day than at night, especially in Spring/Fall
San Myshuno/Magnolia Promenade*/Granite Falls*: A little milder, haven't experienced a blizzard there yet but have had snow, sometimes gets thunderstorms (ha so fun to watch sims suffer at festivals outside, talk about dedicated, lol)
Windenburg/Brindleton Bay/Forgotten Hollow: Noticeably colder with fewer heatwaves in summer. Prone to snow, have seen blizzards and the occasional thunderstorm
Selvadorada*: Lots of rain
*have not played through all of the seasons in this neighborhood
