I have both the packs. I recommend getting them on sale if you're interested in them.
I have never played the Batuu storyline, but it's a great building pack. I'm not a huge builder, but I find many builds on the gallery use this pack. I enjoy the Sabbac game. I keep telling myself I'm going to use it for one of my families as an indepth role playing vacation, but so far I haven't.
I actually love the My First Pets pack. It might depend on how often you play with pets, and if you want to play with the small animals. It does have a unique death.
