- @graceymanors I generally just try to stay on top of things early - it’s definitely difficult to get back in control once your Sim is always scared and the spiritual volatility level has gotten high. Some things I do:
Have the Sim be nocturnal - just accept that you’ll be up all night dealing with ghosts and let them sleep during the day.
Wake up a little before the ghosts start arriving and prepare gifts for them - I often have my sim cook or bake and then pick up servings, but you could also milk cows/goats, make paintings, or whatever else you generally use.
Give the green spirits gifts. They frequently reward you with wax, and each wax blob makes 3 candles - stock up early and often.
Remove spooky items - hands, tendrils, dolls - as soon as you can.
Perform a ceremony as soon as you can if you start seeing the red spirits. Ideally this will be with your needs full and when you’re unlikely to be interrupted by a spirit, so either during the day or with another sim running interference.
If your sim is already too scared to do anything, you could try letting them hide under the covers or asking Guidry for help (I believe he will gift you candles at least once). Or if all else fails, leave the lot for a while until the Sim is happy again, ideally with gifts prepared, then go back. - graceymanors2 years agoLegend
I tried the brave trait and they still constantly wake up scared.
Living in a haunted house is a real challenge and I still highly recommend to read the guide I linked above, since there is a lot more you can do, like seances and placing candles etc.
- @graceymanors Even during the day?
