- AlanMckenzie123New SpectatorOne of my first Sims completed the Fitness aspiration as an Adult and I think he got a longer Elder life from it so I decided to focus on him for a bit and completed the Writing and Painting ones I think. That was years ago. He stayed at home and made a lot of money, way before we got Freelance stuff.

They stick to the aspirations they had before they got Elders.
I was just going to say the same thing. Just because a Sim is an Elder, doesn't mean they have to give up earlier aspirations. I'm older, (to put it mildly, closing in on 69 as I am) and I still enjoy working toward fulfilling the aspirations I have had for most of my lifetime. I do have to say that the only thing I'm not actively pursuing is my drawing, so sad to say. Nor, am I inclined to pick up my guitar. But I do write. I'm actively working on my genealogy, and I play the Sims, daily. :) - snofnuggNew Scout

I use whatever aspiration I think fit my sims' personalities. I don't focus as much on what stage of life my sims are in, with the exception of children and teens.
I do use the Lifetime Aspirations mod originally by Ky-e but adopted by NeedCoffee4That. It makes all of the aspirations more like lifetime wishes from the previous games and less like tutorials. There is only one milestone for each aspiration. I believe one of the family aspirations says to have some number of grandchildren.
Sounds like a great mod :)
