I love that you can get opportunities for fame in all different careers. What are some of the ones you've encountered so far? And what level of career were you (start/middle/end)? I'd love to build out a list of sorts!So far I've encountered...Business: I believe as Regional Manager, my Sim was going through expense reports and found corruption in the company. He could expose it or not—my Sim exposed it and gained +1 Star of fame, but lost his job.Entertainer (Comedian): As a Jokesmith (early/middle—start of comedy branch), I got an opportunity to film a TV standup special. This instantly jumped me to the top of the Comedian career and gave me +1 Star of fame. ...There was pretty much no downside to this!Entertainer (Musician): I think as Jingle Jammer (early/middle—start of music branch), I got an opportunity to push for a song to be nominated. It gave +1 Star of fame but the Sim came home embarrassed because they were hounded by paparazzi.Social Media: I think as a Clickbait Writer (early), I got a career opportunity to slander a celebrity. It gave +1 Star of fame, but lowered that celebrity's career and put them in a feud/bad relationship.Style Influencer: Really early on I got an opportunity where the Sim found a rival company's designs for an upcoming line and could leak them. They gained +1 star but lost their job.What have you found so far? I'm curious to see what ones are available for athlete. My Athlete is Level 6/Rookie so far and nothing yet.

Painter had one where a time traveler visited my painter and asked her to paint him a self portrait. I had her accept and on the way home from work she saw her painting on billboards around town advertising a Laandgrab business. Seems the time traveler came forward in time to get the portrait, then went back in time to use it for advertising that made my Painter sim much more famous instantly due to time paradox of the portrait existing before she even painted it. She got +2 Fame for it, was a huge bump, because she was only at fame level 1 when it occurred.

Great thread. This is why I miss the guides. I used to buy the guides prior to release and read them cover to cover so I'd know what to expect.

Mixologist: My sim had an opportunity to sell some of her drinks exclusively to one person, in exchange for never working as a mixologist again. Should have refused because no money was offered. She almost gained one-star celebrity from this one though. Athelete:(at least, since it was in the same format, I think it was a new fame opportunity) Level 3 athelete was bored and wanted a new challenge, so she had two choices; Propose some new things to do, ,or 2: Demand more challenging work. This would have lowered her rep, so being the polite sim she was, she went with option one. Here's why I wasn't sure if it counted: The message that popped up with the result, a small career boost and good reputation, also had the Polite reward star at the top.

I too would love to know if each rank has a different fame opportunity, as there is at least one per branch.My Alice Kim-Lewis is a fine-art aficionado (patron of the arts, 8) and my card was start arguing over technique with the artist at a private viewing. It gave her a slightly bad reputation, one star and an enemy in the artist (an actual sim in the career, in my case Ulrikke Faust).

I haven't kept track of them all but I also had the entertainer (comedian) one that the OP had. I was surprised about how many levels he jumped in the job as well as the fame point gain. I didn't take screenshots and wasn't sure I'd be believed that it happened lol.

He's also gotten a number of offers to start other jobs at pretty high levels due to reputation. I had him switch to secret agent level 5.. it makes it easier to get through the Renaissance Sim aspiration. I missed other job switch offers also but it's great to see them come in.
