@sillyangel0906, I don't have the uncompressed textures option checked. What effect does that have on the game?
I'll field this one:
That setting enables higher resolution textures and consequently uses more memory.- kuhpflanzen8 years agoSeasoned Acei play on an alienware laptop and my settings are on ultra, minus the "post-processing effects".

- icemanfresh8 years agoLegendI got a laptop earlier this year to replace my low-mid tier one from 2013, because it was starting to have problems (most notably the AC power toggling on and off whenever I use the Nvidia GPU).
I play on Ultra settings with uncompressed textures. My laptop has a 6th gen i7 and a GTX 1070 with 16 GB RAM, so it should be fine. - Thanks @So_Money. I also noticed that I don't have Vertical Sync checked under monitor. Does that make any noticeable difference in the graphics display?

Put simply, Vsync synchronizes your frame rate with your monitor's refresh rate to prevent screen tearing.- DeKaythePUNK8 years agoLegendI play it on Custom but it's close to an Ultra.

I don't have post processing effects on either; I don't like how it makes backgrounds blurry - irl things in the distance don't appear blurry to me so I like that I can make them not blurry in game.- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

It depends what's on the current lot. If you've got a castle and a buttload of sims, lots more. If it's an empty lot with just your sim, not as much.
