Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today.
I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here.
So what's happened in your game today?
Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!).
I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works!
Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X
It is great to see the way the house has been over the years, and the changes and redecorating that has taken place 🙂 The different sims who have lived there have brought new ideas, ways of decorating and colours to the home.
As we let my sim self settle in Sulani. I thought i'd do a small post on his old house.
Number 3 in Llama Lagoon, Newcrest was the first to be built in the Llama Lagoon area in 1979 by my sim self, his first wife Liberty Lee and her father Harry. My sim self moved in with Liberty and their first born twins Tommy and Sienna in Summer of 1980. Some of you may recognise some of these pictures from the original sims 4 forums.
Here's the lounge and kitchen area's from 1980:

A backsplash was designed for the kitchen by Sienna in 1981 part of a school project.
In 1982, the ground was elevated to make the staircase shorter. This happened after my sim self's daughter Beatrix slipped down them twisting her ankle.
The house was re-decorated again in 1984 after Beatrix and Carlin moved out. Carlin moved back briefly after university while his house was being built.
The house was redecorated again in 1989 when Beatrix and her boyfriend Grant moved in, My sim self still owned the house but he moved out in to an apartment after his marriage to Liberty Lee ended.
Beatrix and Grant's tenure was short lived as by the end of 1989, my sim self had moved in with his second wife Elena.
In 1991, Elena had painted the kitchen pink.
The house was remodelled and reconfigured in 1993 after my sim self's marriage to Elena ended in divorce.
The lounge area was re-decorated by my sim self's third wife Emily in 1996 shortly after they got married.
In 2009, the floral design had to be taken down as it was showing signs of peeling so it was repainted to match the other white walls.
There's a brief history of how his house looked. Some of you may have seen these looks before on the original forums, some of these may be new to you!
Good late morning, All. Is it me, or are the forums getting a little harder to use, again? Must be me. Today my struggle wasn't as hard as yesterday's, but I did fight to get my pictures placed. It would help me, I'm certain, if I used a magnifying glass to make sure I get the correct one out of my folder. Oi! At any rate, I have another update for those who are reading my little sage. Please find Makin' Magic in Creative Corner, under Cantrell: The Early Years, Part Six.
Many thanks to those who read it, and my gratitude to those who read and respond.
Hello. Yesterday, I tried and failed to be able to post here. Some of you have already discovered and read my latest update. For those of you who are unaware, please find my latest, An Odd Sunday in Spring, over in Creative Corner, under Cantrell: The Early Years, Part Six. I hope you have an easier time navigating than I had. My post, apparently, did stick. I wasn't able to see it after I 'posted' it, since I like to do a final edi
That was a wonderful update, bittersweet, but good. I look forward to seeing your Sim Self in Sulani. I do wonder just what kind of adventures he's facing. I like the renovation to Jacob's Cafe it truly needed that splash of color.
