Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today.
I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here.
So what's happened in your game today?
Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!).
I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works!
Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X
I just started a new challenge: the history challenge. Right now my family is in the stone age. It is fun to see how far I can go in this theme without CC
Even the bluffs got a make over to suit the timeperiod (can't take credit for the actual lot, it comes from the gallery)
Their home is lovely! 🙂The exterior design is very nice and the garlands on the front walls are pretty. The Christmas themed furnishing of the interior is lovely. The Christmas tree and presents are pretty.
After the Grim Reaper Event, my vampire Daniel and spellcaster Lanette finally had time for their wedding. I remodeled the top floor of the Realm of Magic HQ to make room for wedding venue items. For a sims event, the ceremony went fairly well. I took a lot of screenshots, but here are just a few.
The wedding photos are lovely! 🙂The wedding arch area is very pretty with the flowers, petals along the edges of the aisle and the background setting of the red/blue skies and red moon! It is great that everyone enjoyed dancing at the wedding.
Not really a "What happened in my game today" thing. But I've really been enjoying creating a full-on family tree for my recent gameplay.
EllupelluelluIt's a slow process, but still at it. Generation 3 heir is going to be a teenager soon.
I don't have a storyline laid out, but sometimes the game itself creates its own story. One thing I like about having Neighborhood Stories active.
I named my new Legacy gameplay family with a surname of Sims. I named the founder, Geordi. He would start the Legacy out in one world and each Generation would live in a different world. He was put in the Astronaut career and lived in Willow Creek. At the gym, he connected most with Xochitl Luna, a premade that came with the San Sequoia world. The backstory was she lived with her mom and her child. Her husband had passed away in a fire. I had Geordi marry Xochitl and her daughter, Karmine (a premade), became his stepdaughter. The two go onto having three children. A boy and a set of twin girls. The son, Vince, I chose to be the Generation 2 heir. Xochitl was in the Athlete Career, for which the game placed her in, not I. I decide to put Vince in the same career, but the opposite branch when he became a young adult. I move him out of Willow Creek and into Oasis Springs. Like his father met his mother at the gym, Vince meets Aoi Takeuchi, a game generated Sim. They are compatible, so I hook them up and they get married. They had two sons, William whom I nicknamed Will and Jason whom I nicknamed Jay. Jay is the Generation 3 heir and is currently at the child lifestage. My plans for him when he becomes a young adult is to move him to Magnolia Promenade and into the Detective career. Newcrest is being used for family places. I currently have a Sims church with a cemetery (created before the Life & Death pack), and a Sims Museum where I will place all the career collectibles once the founder/heir/heiress passes away.
Going back to Xochitl and her daughter, Karmine. When Geordi married Xochitl and they moved in together, I didn't control anyone, but Geordi unless I needed to. Karmine was at the child lifestage when they met. She eventually aged up to a teenager. At school on her own, from the game, she met Maira Watson. The game put them in a romantic relationship. I thought how fun this was my first gay couple in the game. When Karmine aged up to an adult, I moved her back home in San Sequoia with Maira. I put them on unplayed and allowed the game to do its thing with the two. Eventually, I get a notification that Karmine married a guy name Taku Akiyama and was like, "Wait, what?" I guess Karmine liked both genders. But was sad to see that there was a negative mark between her and Maira in her profile. I decided to move Maira back into her parents' house as she was living with Karmine and her new hubby. Awkward. I eventually decided to follow Maira through notifications. She ended up marrying another woman and having a science baby. Again, everything done by the game.
Back to Karmine. She lives in her house she grew up in with her hubby, Taku. They end up having a child as well as adopting a child.
For my family tree, I wanted to make sure I included all family members of the relationships my Sims family been through. With that, I backtracked and added Maira Watson's as well as Taku Akiyama's. It was fun to see how the Goth family is even connected in the end. I currently have 85 Sims logged on my family tree and I'm only on finishing up Generation 2. 😅
It is great that each generation of your legacy will live in another world, and that you already have 85 sims in the family tree up to generation 2! 🙂 Having Newcrest as the place for family buildings is a good idea. It is great that you have a cemetery and a museum for your sims collectibles there.
Drum roll, if you please. After what feels like an eternity to me, I now have posted another update for Cantrell: The Early Years, Part Four. Please find The Incident over in Creative Corner. Many thanks for your patience and for those who are reading my little saga. I will get to working on those images, so that the next few updates won't take so very long. Most appreciated, too, are the responses given.
In some ways Evangeline is like most people in the working world. She enjoys her work.
She has a good working relationship with her co-workers, even her boss.
Sometimes the work is interesting like analyzing business trends.
Sometimes it's drudgery, like ordering office supplies.
And like workers everywhere she enjoys a drink afterwards. It's just that her drink of choice, and the 'bar' where she goes to have it, are as unusual as her career, and Evangeline herself.
Another day working for Grim. This time, we had a job to clean up souls in the cemetery and close netherworld fissures. The new world is stunning!
Desirae visited her mother's grave in the cemetery. Unfortunately, she couldn't stay long because she was very busy and had to return to the office to finish her work. Her mother completed her unfinished business and moved on, which is why her plumbob is at the grave. I have screenshots of the funeral that I'll post later. For those that may not know Desirae has an umbrella because she is a Vampire.
I found a cute new hairstyle for Desirae! These are all of my screenshots for now. :)
It is a lovely photo of Ravenwood! 🙂The scenery is pretty! The trees and the mountains and clouds in the background are very nice. Desirae’s new hairstyle is very nice.
