Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today.
I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here.
So what's happened in your game today?
Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!).
I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works!

Sure, I unlocked the prom royalty and jester hats a while back, but it would be a shame to not take the current crop of teens to prom. That's Min-woo. He has two extremely glamourous sisters, but so I tried my best to help him stand out more. The formal outfits he has are too restrained, too "Starlight Accolades". What an first picture, right? Were you not enticed?
Thinking of those sisters, here's a throwback to week 2. I somehow missed Mi-kyeong being snarky at school to her rival.
MK is growing her hair. Though I probably missed some outfits. They are not princesses, but they can play make-believe with this house and money. And that's all nobility is today anyway. (Oh come on. I doubt I've offended the 3 minor princesses in the chat. y'all agree with me.)
I got no notification about prom, but went anyway. Nothing. :/
So we threw a party at home.
Former inmate, Giulietta Uha, was the entertainer who entertained no one. But she was here.
I don't know when I picked out some of these outfits. I tend to throw on outlandish party outfits and never expect to see them.
In the course of the evening all 3 teens maxed charisma and mischief, earning them the lesser-known Authentic Prankster trait. It was a gold party, that unlike the grand ball, did count for the aspiration. I'm quite diligent with Social Bunny, and all had way more than 250 followers already. Completing this party instantly completed the Admired Icon aspiration.
They still have Live Fast and Goal Oriented, but I'm not pursuing Live Fast. (And Se-jeong can't go to school to get in trouble or she'll get expelled, so there's that.) They've signed up for side-hustles. Mk and Blue Woo are streamers, and Se-jeong (obviously) is the social media influencer.
Eun-ho is still a level 10 mad scientist, but has hardly ever been to the lab because of the need to go to high school every day to dodge Se-jeong getting expelled. So once again the fountain is in storage while he completes some upgrades on the freeze ray. It's a flexible space.
Sunday is a trip to Del Sol Valley. Se-jeong was up for nomination as a teen, and that's always a side quest I have. But that's MK and Min-woo sword fighting. I love the vibe in DSV.
I don't intend to keep Min-woo around long after high school grad because 1) I want to pair him up with Sofia Abrantes, but 2) to avoid alien abductions. To that end, I had him place his star now. The 11th of the save.
No yellow jacket or cowboy hat for this.
Se-jeong won for best video (alongside Giulietta!), as a teen. And I have the receipts to prove it. It was a good night in general for my sims. Rocky Kisser also won for wearing tight pants.
MK found her way to the coffee machine all by herself?!?!
There's a pretty light pattern from the invention constructor.
The plan for this family going forward is to get, and raise, the most fully stacked alien possible. That means the 4 genetic dynasty traits at max level, as well as Blue Blood (and Sulani Mana, Grim Descendent, Father Winter's Baby). But next gen is a free hit. I'm in the unusual position (for me) of being able to marry any sim. I'm thinking a frog prince / princess.

Their wedding outfits are beautiful 💗The place where they got married is a lovely setting for an outdoors wedding. They look very elegant as they are walking down the aisle, arm in arm. They and their wedding guests all look like they enjoyed dancing. The outfits that the guests wore are lovely. The wedding cakes are pretty with the roses around the edges 💗
The visit from Olive would have caused her to have a lot of mixed feelings. She enjoyed spending time with Nyon, but now this warning would cause her to have some concerns 🙁 I hope that whatever the future holds, she may find happiness and her life may go well. Her bedroom is lovely 🙂The blue,green and black colours are very nice and great furnishing. The wall decor suits Ravenswood very well. Very nice desk table area and great patterned bed.
The next day, Cassie arrived home from school to find her father sitting there waiting for her. " you were out late last night! What were you up to?" Mortimer asked. She wasn't ready to tell her father yet, about all the things she had learned and also become over the last two days. So she tried to sluff off his question with a quick response. " out seeing the town" and headed towards the stairs. But before Cassie could take another step. Mortimer spoke again. "You must have made some friends, you have visitors in the kitchen".In the kitchen Cassandra finds more mysterious strangers, curious to learn who they were at what they wanted, she offered food and they sat down to chat. The woman, who looked quite unpleased to see Cassie, introduce herself as Oliver Specter. Her stranger companion was her husband, Layne Coffin. " it seems that you've become quite close with my son Nyon" Olive snarled. "I'm just here to warn you" she continued. She explained that her son has always been chased by death.Puzzled, Cassandra asked Olive what exactly she meant by that. Olive pulled out her phone to show Cassie photos of all the times Nyon had near death experiences. Dozens of instances where he barley walked away with his life. " all im saying, is just be careful with him. Death follows him wherever he goes". Cassandra knew from the moment Nyon showed up at her house back in Willow Creek. That there was something different about him. She went to bed that night, her mind filled with more questions than she had before.A few photos of Cassandras bedroom
Oh yeah, those are just as equally dramatic. Child Venessa is so cute 🥰 I like her and Rahul just walking by with their giant lollipops ☺️ Forgot to add, that townie is def worth keeping 😉
Judith and Bytani must be bad if downtown DSV is quieter than them 😄 I'm so happy Rahul is a sweet guy and being nice to Venessa. I know some day Venessa will make those big dreams come true 🥰 That townie is definitely a keeper! 😍
They are lovely teen versions of Judith and Brytani❤️Although they are good friends, they also sound like they argue a lot with each other! It is a great photo of their pillow fighting 🙂It was sweet of Rahul to take Venessa somewhere quieter to enjoy eating their candy. The lollipops are very large! It is a sweet photo of Venessa asleep, dreaming of her future dreams 💗I hope that Rahul will get the music just as he wants it to sound 🎶
