This is the 3rd time i've done scientist career and i've never had these issues: 1. Why do I have to make the Hover lamp, momentum conserver, clone machine, sim ray...etc over and over and over again? Does anyone get asked to make these devices more than once? 2. I'm being assigned tasks that are not possible to complete. It's telling me to make Spark Serum but i'm not getting the option to even make that one. 3. Kind of goes with #2 but it is telling me to use mind control to make my co-workers panic. I looked at the sim ray upgrade options and there is nothing for panic. What gives?

Your Sim will be able to upgrade the simray when reaching level 9, and fulfil the tasks then.

I'm also asked to make the same items over and over again, never occurred to me that was strange? You can sell them I believe? I do think it's strange your sim has to fulfil tasks they're not skilled enough for though, that sounds like a glitch to me. 'Fulfil the task then' isn't a solution I think? The task will be gone at the end of the day. So when your sim hasn't reached level 9 by then you can't fulfil it.

Once you do enough daily tasks, and yes there are SUPPOSED to be some you can't do, like yell at a tourist when there are no tourists, you need to practice analyzing, brainstorm on the constructor, or experiment on the chemistry station for the rest of your shift. That's how you get breakthroughs and, you need those to get promoted. Breakthroughs are how you learn to make more serums, do more upgrades to several items and such.If you haven't been doing the breakthroughs, the tasks will get ahead of you because had you done them, you'd be at the level of the tasks.

wow, you need to calm down. First, this is not a bug. To make a Sim ravenous, you have to use the SimRay on them to make them hungry. Secondly, you necroposted and I'm guilty by association now.

I know, they probably changed something about it with updates. Back when GTW came out I played the Scientist career and I got obsessed with it, it was so fun, but I recently started that again with another Sim and I'm doing a lot of things over and over again, that didn't happen back then.

Yea i'm getting over this. He is at level 10 right now and he is still getting prompted to make a Sim Ray. Like, really!? it's annoying.

Scientist Career - Keeps asking me to 'Make a Sim become ravenous 3x'! There's no such option that exists ANYWHERE for this and how am I supposed to do this? ANOTHER BUG FROM EA that they certainly won't fix and that they don't give a duck about! Leave it up to the community is their way to go about things. Just do another dlc and duck the community. 'Who cares about them anyways?' And there you have what EA really thinks about their gaming community. Hundreds of bugs that have been going on for years yet NONE ever get fixed, EVER! I've had some bugs that I've looked up on here and people have had them for 4 years and EA has done NOTHING about them. They prefer doing dlc's and selling. Making money is what counts for EA. Clientele satisfaction is way on the bottom of their list, they just DON'T CARE! So, if you have a problem, good luck cause it'll NEVER GET RESOLVED WITH THE HELP OF EA, NEVER!

I think you need to give them a tainted food serum. Can't remember the name but if it is a good one it fills hunger and if it's faulty or tainted it depletes hunger.
