What life span do you play on?

I have 7 saves, and only 1 of them has aging on. I have it on normal for now, but I think I'm going to set it to fast. The thing is, I rarely play that save and when I do, it's only for maybe 15 minutes at a time, so no one really ages lol

I play with long lives, and aging off.
When I want a Sim age up, I make a cake for them, and use that to have them enter their next life stage.
I keep it long so I can get as many kids as a can get from the parents, because I plan to turn aging on again when there are too many Sims.

I normally play on normal or long lifespan and turn the aging off for a while whenever I need more time, but recently I've been playing a short lifespan legacy type of save.
I had never played on short lifespan before, but I've enjoyed it more than I ever thought I would, except the game is just very buggy now.

I've always been on normal lifespan, but they usually get 2-3 potions so I have more time to build skills or complete aspirations (if I've played the sim since birth, they typically get the potions as a teenager, otherwise I'll create the Sims as young adults and keep them at that stage for a while).

I play on a modified normal, so that it is longer - but not as long as the long lifespan. Or I play aging off, like with my Ultimate Sims. The problem I run into with aging off and long is that there ends up being too many sims in the house! I'm actually thinking of adding a retirement home in one of my saves, but that gives me another household to play. But I already have one house with over 8 sims in it, which means no real CAS lol.

Aging off since the Sims 2!.. Or at least cheating the system by becoming immortal one way or another
I don't think I've ever had the guts to see my Sims grow old and die.

I play with aging off, but I do age my sim kids up when it feels right for the story. When they reach young adult I usually dream up a plot that explains why they won't get any older. I do have a few sims that are adults but that's as old as they get. Any elders in my stories are premades or random townies.

I'd play long if I just played one household maybe cause thats what i chose in other sims games

saw someone playing short lifespan and i was just like wow thats whole different game ain't it :lol: I could never cause I'd just be so upset about not getting to live my sims lives to their full potential
