I've always loved the vibrant colors used in ultra. I remember the day I got a better computer and put the setting up to ultra. It was so amazing! The game looked really good before that, but wow! It's not just the graphics, however. I started with TS4, but have dabbled in TS3. I like both games and they both have great features, but I think the one you start with will always be your favorite. I love how Sims in TS4 have emotions, which can be super funny --- especially those very angry toddlers --- as long as you take care of them right after that emotion. I think the variety of packs and kits gives us so much more to chose from. I have them all, but if I had to chose, I feel like this iteration of the game has more topics and more specific packs/kits to fit anyone's taste. I love this question! When I saw the title I thought I knew what my answer was going to be, but now that it's time to type I was hit with a wave of things I love about the game and that makes it stand out. I think @simgirl1010 said it best, there's something for everyone and for every sort of story you can imagine. I love the freedom we have to create LGBTQIA sims and tell their stories. I love that we're not bound to strictly real world scenarios and sims, we can make them fantastical, they can be anything. Vampires and witches and werewolves, oh my! The game doesn't put players in a box and only give them a narrow framework to play in. And if I get burned out on gameplay I can go play around in build mode or CAS. I've never had a moment in 14 years of simming where I've been bored for more than a day or two at most. I'm a ride or die simmer.❤️ I haven't played any other games in years and I don't see that changing anytime soon, not anything that would take me away from The Sims for more than an hour or two here and there anyway.

I love how the game caters to so many different playing styles. Builders, CAS and Build/Buy creators, occult and realistic players, sandbox and goal oriented players. There's literally something for everyone.

I love the way that the game encourages creativity. I've always been into home design and fashion and it allows me to create homes and Sims that are all totally different. I do really miss the Sims 3 Colour Wheel though as I used to love creating fabric designs too and wallpaper patterns.I love that we can create a diverse and inclusive game by taking one step forward at a time, like the recent vitiligo addition or when it added hearing aids and glucose monitors and when we got customisable pronouns and a wide variety of scars. I've got some serious scars myself and just to add that to a game can make someone feel less self conscious about their own scars. It's also available to anyone who wants to use it or if they don't want to use it they don't have to. It's what you choose to make of it.In gaming terms the best thing about Sims 4 is that all downloadable content is available to console players at the same time as PC players. After having to switch from PC to console because of my disability (and because I kept burning out laptops by overheating them, oops) I missed out on a lot of content that just wasn't released on console. So I love that we all get everything at the same time with Sims 4, even though we didn't get the actual base game at the same time. I understood the delay.As @rosemow mentioned in an earlier post it is great for those of us that have to spend a lot of time at home. I have to rest a back problem every afternoon and I'd climb the walls with boredom if I didn't have Sims. During the pandemic lockdown I honestly don't know how non Sims playing humans coped without it lol. I like platform games too but I like that Sims is a change of pace. I play Sims on an afternoon and play Nintendo on an evening (once I've stopped talking about the Sims lol) but a platform game isn't the same type of experience. It doesn't take long to finish a platform game but with the Sims you just keep on building it.I do not like the bugs 🐜! But I do really like that we get to work collaboratively to help find fixes and solutions for them and when something isn't working properly we know exactly where we need to go for help with it.I like it best on my Xbox Series X because I had a lot of reliability problems on previous consoles, once I got this console it was just joy. It loads faster, it plays better and it looks better. Yay! 🎮

I enjoy watching the interactions between our sims and the different generations. It is lovely to see them spending time together.

This may sound silly, but after being so many years ts2 player only, I would say what first comes to my mind is neighbor lots.
In ts2 those are very blurry and not even mod community cannot do everything to that old game.
I was so in awe when my first ever made sim, Milla , had a first jog around Oasis Springs, and all the neighbor houses were so sharp 🙂
I love both games, play both, but that was really first thing I was so amazed about 🙂
I never played ts3.

It is great that simming involves doing a variety of different things and play styles @simgirl1010 🙂 I like that as well. Whether you enjoy creating sims, building lots, playing or story telling, or all these things, and whatever way you like playing the game, all simmers can have fun whilst simming.
