What Motive Could She Have? UPDATE, resolved, sort of
The game gave me a gift, which I wrote about and posted just yesterday. However, the loss of the Butler the family really liked, has ended in total confusion. I have played with Butlers in the game, in the past. Yes, sometimes they won't be on the lot and your Sim might come across them in town, out of their 'uniform', so to speak and maybe even has a family. Butlers are Sims, too, so it is fitting they should have a day or even two off every now and again. Generally, a temporarily replacement is sent over by the Windenburg Butler Agency. Until the original Butler returns. Aylin was sent over. However, things didn't go this way. Not so, this time. Yumika never came back. Instead, I saw her at the Starlight Academy when Erik was there to see if he won for Best Song. She was labeled as Fan. This gave me her motive for a quiet and swift exodus from the Cantrell family. I decided, that since she was clearly a fan, that living in his household, getting to know him and his family, had caused her to fall in love with him. So, she decided rather than cause a rift in his happy family, she would just leave.
The family ended up having to fire her replacement. It's tough when you come home from an Event to find your four Toddlers, exhausted, hungry and unable to relieve themselves, except in their diapers, because the Butler failed yet again, to 'polish to perfection' the Potty chairs. Upon having a deep discussion with Aylin, Kayleigh learned she hates children. If that's not a Red Flag, I don't know what is. She was fired on the spot.
I waited for a few Sims days before I decided they just had to have live-in help. To my knowledge, Nannies don't live in. Nor are they much of a help. So, I had Erik hire another Butler, worried on the one hand, that Aylin would return. Or someone worse.
No, it was Yumika who returned. Now what do I do to fix this obvious glitch in the storyline? In order to write myself out of this hole, I am asking for your help. What insight can you bring to clear up this situation? I don't want to have to remove/rewrite what's already posted. What motive can she have to return, under the circumstances?
