Help Me Choose: Which Expansion Pack Will Add the Most to My Save?
Hi everyone!
I’m currently halfway through creating an all-world save file – I’ve been renovating lots, building lore, and adding depth to each neighbourhood. It’s a big project and I’m loving every minute of it!
Now I’m thinking about picking up a new expansion pack to add even more to the save. I’m torn between:
- Life & Death
- For Rent
- Lovestruck
- Snowy Escape
I usually play rotationally with a mix of storytelling and legacies, so I’m looking for a pack that will bring rich gameplay or world-building potential to my existing file.
What do you think would be the best addition at this stage?
Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks in advance!
I don't recommend Snowy Escape at all. It's basically a ski vacation game pack. The one ski resort neighborhood is the only neighborhood worth going to. The other two might as well not be there.
I like Life and Death. The world is beautiful and distinctive. Mourningvale in particular lends itself to magical/mystical lore. Whispering Glen gives more of a rustic feel if you want to create a farming/ranching community. Crow's Crossing is the town center that has special events throughout the week. The careers aren't that interesting, but I love the new tarot card scavenger hunt. The game comes with funerals, cemeteries and a will that allows you to pass things down to friends and family in other houses.
