What style homes are those in Newcrest?

I doubt if they have a name, or if they do, that the people creating them would know it and use it in their hashtags. When I built in Newcrest, I wanted a city/commercial vibe, so if there's something in the background that doesn't match my lot, I just build a brick wall and pretend like the non-matching architecture is not there.

I believe the closest ones will be under new Orleans style.

Maybe a cape cod style house? Seems like its own genre. When I need something for a particular world, I just hashtag Newcrest and hope someone made something that worked. I always hashtag the world that I do my builds for. Hope others do the same.

Thank you for those homes, they look very lovely in Newcrest. I have a bit of landscaping to do later, but it looks really good already. :)

In one of my game saves, Newcrest will the original Wild West where settlers poured into the area from the Colonies of both Virginia and North Carolina. This area eventually became East Tennessee, but in the beginning they had crude log cabins without windows. Just loopholes (which is like a very small window way up high on the wall to prevent being shot by the Cherokee, who claimed the area. :open_mouth: ). Great times were had by all, not.

I'm very different. My Newcrest is the only world I have all modern homes. It's where my celebrity sims live.

The style of the homes in Newcrest look an awful lot like the ones around where I live, but with a coastal feel. I'm in the Midwest USA. The homes in Newcrest remind me of what you'd get if you took the old school farm houses out here and mixed them with east coast waterfront. I recently went home with my husband (his childhood home) in New Jersey, and I was surprised at how much those oceanfront homes looked like the ones in Newcrest.

If it helps, my mother-in-law tells me that the home styles in that area of New Jersey (where we visited) is called Victorian-Greek Revival.

I would say Victorian, but the mansard shaped roofs threw me off at first. They usually have hipped shaped roofs.

They look very french quarter looking from the original all french quarter mansion in New Orleans - in the older district. Anne Rice (The Horror writer) used to live in one of those kind of houses - a couple hundred years old I understand. She says she pictured those as the kind of Houses her Lestat loved. Here's a bunch of pictures including Anne Rices New Orleans house - you may be able to fine blue prints of them to use building your own in the game. Not sre how easy it is in Sims 4 - but we used to do it all the time in Sims 3:
