I'm thinking about buying one of these Expansion packs for my birthday, but I can't decide which one to get. I'm not interested in Life & Death (I find the topic too morbid)
So, my choices are Horse Ranch, Lovestruck or For Rent.
Which one would you say is worth buying?
Horse Ranch is a good pack & it goes well with Cottage Living.
This guide to the packs may help although it was posted before the Lovestruck pack was released, but it includes the other packs.
Horse Ranch for several reasons.

I would choose Horse ranch. It comes with quite a lot of content. The world is lovely. Horses are so well done that I - not into horses at all - constantly get back to households with horses :) Mini sheep and goats might sound like something to get bored with soon, but they keep giving me laughs and awwws. Nectar making is a good addition. Aaaand, both horses, mini-x and nectar making can be added to households in any world. B/B is good, adding lots of rustic stuff and while the clothing is very "yeee-ha", some outfits are good in other countryside settings, too.
I really enjoy Lovestruck personally and find it really fun. I struggled to get into both for rent and horse ranch. I found both of their worlds too quiet and you don’t really notice the gameplay of either of those packs unless you focus on it.
I really enjoy the Lovestruck world and all sims I play will have the romance skill and dates and turn ons etc so to me it feels the most like an expansion. I think it has the best CAS of the three too. I did have a lot of fun making rental lots and I’m sure I’ll enjoy landlords, horses and nectar making once I get around to it though.
This is just my opinion though. I think of the three horse ranch is probably the most popular.

Don't have For Rent yet cause of the issues at release and Lovestruck feels bit chaotic I just can't decide if its chaotic good or chaotic evil yet 😂
It mainly depends on your interests. If you love animals, farms or the wild West, you should go for horse ranch. If you like building and a tropical world, for rent is better. If you like to focus on romantic relationships, lovestruck is the better choice.
Personally I would go for horse ranch out of those three. The horses are a rather straightforward gameplay element but are well done. (with the exception of unicorns) The nectar making, mini sheep and goats and the world are fun. This pack goes very well with cottage living.
I only recently got for rent. I think this pack can offer a lot of gameplay but has a certain risk of lot corruption. The world is also very pretty, although the nightmarket is so empty that it feels like there is a pandemic going on. There are a few minor additions I appreciate like a kettle to build water and hopscotch.
Lovestruck seems great too, if you are into dating.
Thank you all for the great suggestions I really appreciate it. I do a lot of legacy/family gameplay so maybe one of these packs could enhance that.
I would steer clear of 'For Rent' The neighbourhood is dead and there is nothing but loading screen after loading screen. It is much better to have room mates for a bit of extra income.
