Hi! I'm DrWinslowJr, a person who feels like the forums are awesome. I was just thinking back to when I first started playing. My first pack was Get Famous. I'm curious to see what everyone else started with. Was it a carefully chosen favorite, or just the first one you saw on sale? (also I mean expansion/game/stuff/kit)
Mine was Get to Work that was released in the spring of 2015.
For The Sims 4, mine was also Get Famous. I wanted to play an old character I made for a forum roleplay back in the day, so I bought Get Famous (used a code for 30% off), and played as my character, becoming famous and sabotaging any celebrities that threatened her rise to fame. I don't remember much, other than that Nancy Landgraab was part of her entourage, and my sim tried to kill Elsa from Frozen.
My first pack ever would have been Double Deluxe for The Sims 1. It was a combo pack of the first two expansions.
I didn't start playing TS4 until November 2020. On 11-25-2020, I bought:
--Digital Deluxe Base Game with Seasons,
--Cats & Dogs, Parenthood, and Tiny Living Stuff.
These were in two bundles, all at 64% off regular price.
Before that, I was playing RPGs and TS3. I also played TS2 a little but never played TS1.
Get to Work. Purchased March 31, 2015, release day.
Likesimgirl1010 andSEREFRAS , my first pack for Sims 4 was Get to Work when it was first released, as it was the first pack that was released for Sims 4.
I only started ts4 when it was free first time. then bought Get Together and DO as same time.
I'm another one who got started with Get to Work.
I started Sims 4 late (was still in the midst of the giant soap opera/car crash I had on Sims 3), so I got Get to Work, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Seasons and Get Together all at once on sale.
I do not do things by halves 😉
Mine was City Living, closely followed by Get to Work a little while later. I remember starting to play City Living, counting the apartments and thinking I was going to run out of space for all of my Sims. Then I tried to add residential lots in Magnolia Promenade too lol. I was constantly thinking I don't have enough lots to create homes. Thankfully, years down the road and many many packs later I don't have to worry about having enough space! 🏡
I got into the sims when GTW, CL, and GT were all out. They were all on sale and I bought them together. CL and GT have always been very linked in my mind. CL is still my favorite pack after all this time.
