Hi. My first pack was the Base Game, over which I was skeptical. I started my Simming Odyssey with Sims 2 which delighted me to no end. My Sims were nutty, silly and everything in between. I then decided to go with Sims 3, since my grown daughter who introduced me to the Sims in the first place extoled just how Sims 2 far-exceeded the original The Sims.
With that in mind, I went ahead and pre-ordered. I enjoyed the open world and even the color wheels, but it played very badly on my gaming rig. I ended up having to add about 20+ mods just to get the game stabilized. Suffer me to say, it was a love/hate relationship I had with this iteration of the game. I did love Showtime.
When the talk began about Sims 4, it was touted to be a multi-player game. I had played WoW for a short time with my grown kids and after my poor little gnome character got killed off several times, I realized multi-player games just weren't for me. Finally, we got the word Sims 4 would be a single player game. I started reading up on it and decided to at least give the base game a try. If I found I didn't like it, I would simply go back to Sims2.
I was determined if these Sims didn't have more personality, as the Sims 2 ones had, that would be it for me. I'm very happy to report I love this iteration. My favorite pack thus far has been Get Famous, although I don't know how I've played the game without Royalty & Legacy. I have purchased the packs that interested me, as they came out. I don't like to know about all of the gameplay from others but would rather explore it on my own.
