Mine are themed around the surname then alphabetical by generation. For instance, the last name Fields, generation one might be named Autumn, Ashen, etc, generation two would be Begonia, Belladonna, Brooks, etc.. things that would be found in fields or that would be types of them. Its rather simplistic, but it makes me use my head to come up with new names I've never used before.
