When It's Taken Out of Your Hands

I was attempting to see if my now Drop-out (he aged up) Sim would graduate on the coming Sunday, he was busy asking two of his brothers to help out at his wedding. He asked his next younger brother (who has gone through this Human high school experience with him) to be his Honor Sim. Erik began to laugh and went hysterical as he was asking his Baby brother, a Child, to be his Ring Bearer. I realized I must not have set MCCC fully after the updated version came out. I found the .cgf file, which only shows up when you've made changes in the settings, so I thought all was well. No. Sadly, no. I quickly disabled the emotional death (it targeted Erik, killing him three times, quite some time ago, no matter how I tried to avoid it). When I exited the game (to allow for this setting to be fully engaged) and returned, I discovered Erik was dying. I exited to the Main Menu and loaded up an earlier save. I hadn't planned to do this unless the graduation didn't happen. But, what do you do when it's taken out of your hands?

I gave him a few more days of his Teen years, so he would age up on the last day of the week, exam day. I will then see if upon his natural aging up, if he's listed as a Drop-out (and in the other save, he had the Drop-Out Trait and the Fear of disappointing his parents trait). Perhaps, he'll graduate on the Sunday as another player in my post suggested. We'll just have to wait and see. This save (I always do a Save As, per gaming session) began on Sunday mid-morning. Erik won his fourth Accolade and it's now very early on Monday morning.

This is crazy-insane. If this doesn't work right, this time, I will load my back-up copy and take it from there. That's what I had to do when Erik was being targeted for death by Hysteria ages ago. I may also do a game repair, now that Origin is back up and running correctly. :)
