Why do some sims get fat and others dont?

The treadmill works. But I think its something in game. I complained in a thread a while back ago. Why, because every single sim in every single family in every single save game would age up to teen as obese. It drives me crazy. Once in a while is fine. But when the starting parents are normal weight and you never fill the kids food bar its just too much. I think recently it is getting a little better, maybe they fixed it ?
