Even though I'm a perminate positive threader, I think it's good to have the distinction so that people who are genuinely excited don't have to get their excitement crushed. As humans we also tend to judge everything immidiately with no context, knowledge or confirmed info even if we don't realize we're doing it. That's just how we are. So if someone has a concern it's good to have a place to voice it.
For me personally I think there is enough negativity in the world without adding to it but I'm not one to judge what others think/feel/express.
