Yes, there are two Karaoke clubs. No, they aren't family-friendly, but you could redesign one if you wanted a family karaoke club, I suppose. The karaoke machines are also purchasable: I have one in a family's penthouse. (He's a top athlete: they have money and can afford that kind of toy.) Using the karaoke isn't limited to the lot type, which is part of how it can open up for family play. I wouldn't take kids to any real-life karaoke place I've ever seen either.

But the karaoke lots in San Myshuno aren't clubs. They are bars. Hover over them when you click on it. It says bar. And perhaps that's what you mean. But I'm pointing out the difference because other than the karaoke machine which was new; bars (and clubs) were definitely not new. There's one in every world. Several in Windenburg. Hence why One of the biggest disappointments with the EP was again it was heavily focused on young adult and adult life stages and for me personally it is disappointing we didn't get any new venue types.

They're a separate lot type from the basegame Bar lot type. "Karaoke Bar" is the lot type. Different requirements, different driven behaviour.

We got two new venue types: Karaoke Bar and Art Gallery. Art Gallery has different requirements and driven behaviour from Museum.

As for things being there for YAs and Adults, yeah, there are things there. There is also attention paid to families and children. I find it better balanced that way than previous apartment/city packs, personally. And balance is a good thing: attention to multiple ways of playing, not one.

Really? I have genuinely never seen different behaviours at the Karaoke Bar or the Art Gallery. My sims who go to a bar in Windenburg sit at the bar and drink. Sometimes they may play darts or a game. In San Myshuno they sit at the bar and drink, sometimes they sing karaoke and sometimes they can be found talking to the toilet. I don't see any major differences in behaviours.

I will agree children got some new game play when I think about it- karaoke, basketball and video gaming. But I suppose what I'm meaning is theres a lack of community lots for them as a unit. Karaoke bars aren't really the thing, the park is very pretty but we have those. And the gallery doesn't really give any family activities? I know children can play the instruments and I actually like that. I suppose this is where a family friendly activity like bowling or roller skating would have slotted in nicely. I know bowling is coming but I think it personally should have been in the EP but that is another thread lol
