I did not buy the Werewolves pack, but now that there is a new High School Years pack, why is not Origin telling me so when I log in? When I start Origin, I still get the Werewolf pack advertisement. If EA want to sell new packs they should at least display them...
You say if EA want to sell new packs with packs in plural, wouldn't that include the second most recent pack, in this case werewolves.
The thing is normally the novelty of a pack wears a bit more slowly but in case of the werewolf pack the hype and attention was cut off abruptly by announcing a high school years. I suppose to a lot of players who are active in the sims community werewolves will feel like really old news. but perhaps origin just looks at the release date and thinks some players might still be interested in a pack that is only a few weeks old? - cb2342z3 years agoSeasoned AceBecause it's still the latest Game Pack?
- Simmerville3 years agoLegendOkay, so it might be due to tech scripting, calculating novelty so and so. but I still find it a bit weird that if I was not a frequent user of these boards, I would still not have a clue about the High School Years pack even existing. Just found it a bit strange that simmers don't get news via Origin. And by now Origin should also assume that I am not very likely to buy the Werewolf pack, and rather try tempting me with the news ;) They probably know that I never even clicked the wolf pack to check its content, and they also should know that I have started Origin (and seen the wolf add) countless times.

Maybe Origin is just not as sophisticated as you think it is? I mean, that sounds pretty advanced with all the thinking and assuming and I personally never had the feeling that there were fancy algorithms or well-thought-out marketing schemes behind the advertising. Seems random to me. Origin still "thinks" that My First Pet SP is a pack I might be interested in and that will never happen. - DragonAge_3009053 years agoSeasoned AceOrigin's not that great on remembering stuff. I have to re-set up my preferences every time I open origin. It's either open origin after game play or save to cloud that I have to turn off every time I open origin.
