Why the Rabbit Holes Are Excluded from The Sims 4

Sims4 have plenty of rabbit holes, but I assume that you are thinking of rabbit hole buildings like in the sims3?
I'm not sure, the game focuses on just the current lot your sims are living at or visiting and spawns sims around them, they don't really give you much reason to go out and explore the world very often. Everything that you need you can get on your home lot.
I'm not a fan of rabbit holes myself (I think they are very boring and simple solutions that should only be available because the player want to send away a sim while playing another active sim), and traveling back and forth between rabbit holes is very frustrating, try for example playing two sims at Discover University, if you visit the cafeteria and your other sim is on a lecture, then they just spawn back at the dorm and they can't even go to the next lecture or prepare for it.
Imagine for example that one sim goes to a rabbit hole that is "visiting the market" or something. And then another sim in your household travels to the park, what happens to that sim when they are done visiting the market? Do they just spawn back home then and will they remember go to to work after that?
