Your Most Iconic Sim and Their Recent or Upcoming Big Moments.

Cool thread idea! I really like your story about Olivia. It's interesting how you came up with her character idea, but then started over and actually played out her backstory. Seeing her finally in her original outfit style made me grin. You made it feel very natural.

Whenever I start a new game with a new sim or new set of sims, I usually play for about three to five sessions with them to see if I bond with them or not. If I do, I may end up playing with them for years. If not, I generally quit playing with them.

Maybe it's because I easily feel empathy toward made up characters, but whichever sims I have been playing with the most, most recently, start to feel like the most special ones. So it's hard for me to say who would fit into this description best for me.

I don't do storylines, but this particular Sim is important. This is Felicia, and she's the very first Sim I ever created--she is the prototype for all of the madness that would follow. Behind that pretty face lies a mind of pure evil, a formula I would go on to copy many times....

Jasmina is a very special Sim. Without her and the Vampires pack, I wouldn't have had the gumption to get back into writing again. Jasmina has been a mermaid and a vampire (turned by Caleb) though she is technically a witch.

While I have several main sims, there is a single Sim that kicks off the party: I created a spellcaster called Lucius Garliclauter and he lives in the Garliclauter house in Forgotten Hollow. He's a businessman with mysterious investments and has strong family ties. He recognizes a kind of balance in the world and often appears to Sims to gift them a potion of rejuvenation that let's them continue their young adult life a little longer. Once he's reached that level, I usually turn on aging for the whole game and let him kind of manage things. He is usually married to Lilith Vatore and their children are always super attractive but unpredictable.

Lucius is helping daughter Pandora with her thirst which she inherited from her mother Lilith. Pandora has been known to kill other Sims on accident and Lucius at times appears and saves the Sim.

I have talked about Rose, my main sim many times on these forums, so I won't go into much detail, but she's based on how I look slightly with similar artistic and animal loving traits, which just makes her a special sim to play. I started playing her as a single sim back in 2017, with her two dogs. Here's a photo of what she looked like then:

My most iconic sim is a sim I've never actually played or really had in game, but she's been the most consistent thing in my game since I first properly got into the Sims 4. This sim is called Kat Fields and I first made her in September 2019 and I basically use her as a CAS sim so any time I get new cc or new stuff she'll be the one that I try it on.

I think it's really interesting to have one consistent sim to look back on how things had changed. When I first made this sim I was only just getting into the game, now I've been playing it obsessively for a year and a half and have nearly 4000 play hours, my style in sims and fashion has changed a lot, I've found a lot more cc which have changed up my sims look a lot, etc etc so it's really interesting to see that chronologically :)

I love seeing how everyone's Sims change over time!

He doesn't look like anything special. I didn't know it back then, but he is a Maxis premade, Tristen Palmer. He started out a single guy with a dog, then got a wife, then got parents and grandparents, then got five children, then got three inlaws and eleven extended family members, then got a sister, a brother-in-law, two nieces, and a nephew, then got two sons-in-law and their families, then got a grandchild and a granddog, then got more extended families through marriages in the family, and possibly more I'm not thinking of right now. He, his wife, and one of his daughters became mermaids. He has been kidnapped by aliens umpteen times and ended up with alien-mermaid hybrid twin children.These pictures show just a few of his family members.

I believe her story has really drawn me into the game.
I have other sims that have glimmers of possible stories. I am looking forward to playing them too.

A lot of my playing has been experimenting with the new packs as they arrive.
I usually make a copy of my main save and play an alternative universe. So I have potential stories I can try with other sims from my experiece with the latest pack.

For example, I have one of my favorite sims moved to San Myshuno as a writer.
I had him write stories until he had enough money to buy a vacation home in Sulani (retail business actually) so I could see how that would work.
He met a mermaid and fell in love with her and they went on adventures in Selvadorada together.

I think I might play that out in my main save after he graduates from Uni.
We have rental properties now, so he can simply rent a place, but I think I prefer him owning it.
He did live on a plot of land with a tent, and slowly built the house. I will probably play with a combination of the two so he can still have all the comforts of home.

I feel like I have more empathy for my made up characters too.
I will be adding a ton of new sims because of my University experiences. I made over quite a few dormies and tweaked their traits to make them more interesting. Now I want them to have homes an live in the world.

I'll share another photo of my sim, Rose, and her cute little fam. As for iconic moments coming up, since I didn't share in my last post, I have been considering having them adopt a little boy toddler for a bit now since I feel like they need some boys in their home (even their cat and dog are both girls lol!). But it's a pretty full house already as you can see, with both moms, a child, a toddler, and two pets, so another toddler would be a big addition, but I've been considering it - especially if I finally make myself age up the two current kids since they've been in their current life stages since 2018.

@CK213 I enjoyed reading Olivia's backstory. I'm glad her mother is still with her.

I liked reading about everyone else's sims as well because it's interesting.

I have several (many?) sims that I have a detailed head cannon for, so I thought for a bit about who I should pick to post about, but as they're all related, I decided to go with my legacy founder: Asher Fier. I've been playing him since 2018. He looks the same.

My concept for Asher's personality is that he's supposed to be "spicy." I was sick of making goody-goody sims. But at the same time, I didn't want to play an honestly evil/unforgivably bad one. So I landed on Asher a socially awkward, ambitious, megalomaniac who aspires to achieve the highest level of all possible careers and to rule everything from now until the end of time, and whose favorite things in life are money and his children.

Asher is also a vampire. I haven't revealed much of his background story yet on the forums. But basically, he was raised in an emotionally stunted patriarchal environment, so he started his family with very patriarchal ideas and wasn't happy about his first-born being a daughter. His next 6 children were all boys (yay for him, I guess), but unlike his daughter and himself, none of those six boys were vampires, so that caused issues…

There was also drama with his wife as the mother of his first child was not her and despite intending to marry his now-wife their marriage was postponed an entire generation, until after his first child's mother passed away (but what's time to an immortal?).

Anyway, these days, Asher is doing well.

He and his wife are expecting another child (baby #17) who will be born into extreme wealth. Neither of them care if the baby is a girl or a boy. Asher is just super excited and hoping to the teach the baby everything he can (hopefully, this won't overburden the child). He also expects to quit his job as Chief Sustainability Officer, even though he'll miss having the ability to dictate power outages, and begin a new career in the field of education because, in his opinion, the world has a lot to learn from him.

From a gameplay perspective, I'm slowly using Asher to play through my versions of the Super Sim and 100 Babies challenges. He's had 16 kids so far. I hope to post more about #17 soon-ish because this sim is also special to me (18 and 19 too). Here's my blog post on his ostentatious home.
